Out with the old and in with the new

Last year we renovated our bathroom. It was a pretty big project. This year we renovated the kids' bedroom. Nothing too big this time, but it also took surprisingly long time just to repaint the walls and to take down the old wall border and put up new. We moved in this apartment over 5 years ago and painted the walls then. The green I chose for the boys' bedroom was a bit different shade that I had thought it would be. I never really liked that shade although I got used to it during time. And when Adiel saw his room back then the first thing he did was start tearing the wall border. So we had half torn wall border for all these years.

Here's a picture of the green wall after we finished with it.

This time I wanted something completely different and definitely something less pastel. The boys got to choose the border out of several options. It was a bit hard for them to agree on it, since Erno wanted girly things that he thought his best friend (Senja) might appreciate. I told him we were decorating for them and not their friends. Besides Adiel would never agree on something too girly. Finally they did agree on the border. I chose the "spidy red"wall colour which they approved.

Here's the room now:

Couple of close-ups of the border and the wall:

I also promised to put up pictures of the new bathroom some time ago. It's actually hard to get a good picture of it, but here's one angle of it. And unfortunately I don't have a good "before" picture of it.

Our favourite part of it is this wall:

And I really love having a bath tub which we didn't before:

Thanks guys! We're happy with the results too, alhtough we still have much to do. To get new closets for our bedrooms for one. And to do something in the kitchen. And change the doors. Then we might be ready to sell :)
