During this season we also tend to always have things on our to-do list that just won't get done. With me it was the Christmas cards this year. We had a FHE activity where we made Christmas cards. I thought maybe that way I wouldn't have to do most of them by myself. Oh well, little did I know. I got two cards done and then mostly I was just trying to minimize the damage the kids were doing with the scissors and glue and stuff. Teemu didn't make any cards...wait a minute...come to think of it...what exactly was he doing the whole time?? So the kids gave all the cards they made to their friends and three lucky people got a Christmas card from us. Sure, I could have just gone to the store and buy some and I almost did just that, but then I remembered the Christmas letter I had been planning to write for many years now. That finally did get done. So family and friends got Christmas letters instead of cards this year. I wrote that letter in finnish though, so I couldn't send it to my foreign friends and I did not have the time and energy to translate it. Wanna know what it said? Well, you can just read all my blog posts from this year and that was pretty much it :D I wish I could be a better friend and do more for my friends far and near.
This winter in Finland has been exceptionally snowy. We're about to break the previous snow record from 1915 and by judging from the day it has probably been broken since yesterday they said that we were only 5 cm short of that record at it's just kept on snowing today so the record will be broken if hasn't already. So we'll definitely have white Christmas this year.
We went on a skiing trip on Saturday and I though Erno would ski for maybe half a kilometre and then be done but no! He was so thrilled and completed 3 km track! And he was a lot faster than I expected. He was even such a good sport and got up the uphills by himself (with just little help from Teemu). And of course he loves the downhills!
I haven't been taking that many pictures lately, but here's a few
The Young Women's presentation at the ward Christmas party.
Adiel at the same party in Primary's presentation of Nativity. He is so uncomfortable wearing his costume. He's not as keen on costumes as Erno. He's in the back row.
And then a close up to make is embarrasment complete:
Erno at his kindergarten's Christmas party. He's in the back row in checked shirt wearing a big star on his forehead.
And finally,
The reason for the season:

This was my Christmas card to you, so
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
